Chisholm Hospitality catering to your student's needs

Certificate II in Hospitality is a vocational subject offered to the Year 11 and 12 students at Chisholm.  It is the most popular senior elective subject.  We have 6 classes running in 2017 and currently have a waiting list.

In Hospitality, students learn about the industry and the wide and varied employment opportunities.  Most students are working in the Hospitality Industry to compliment the skills learnt in the classroom.

The Hospitality students have opened a café which will operate during Terms 2 & 3 in 2017.  Morning tea and lunch will be served to students and staff.  The café allows the students to develop their skills and practise food service and preparation.  The students work in the café on a roster basis.

In addition to the café, Hospitality students cater for a variety of functions throughout the school year.  From Mother’s Day morning teas, breakfasts, lunches and VIP Awards Night functions, to name a few. The students prepare, present and serve food and beverages to the whole school population.

Hospitality allows the college community to enjoy many social events and is an important element in allowing students and staff to celebrate and socialise within the school environment.

The subject is enjoyed by all and provides our students with the valuable skills necessary for employment in this growth industry.
