Dame Roma Mitchell is considered to be a pioneer of the Australian Women's Rights movement advocating for equal pay for women and the right to sit on juries.  She espoused the qualities of resilience, dedication, had a strong commitment to social justice and public service.  Dame Roma Mitchell is a fantastic role model and will be a wonderful House Patron.
