Letter to Year 7 Parents 2024

5 October 2023

Dear Parents/Carers of Year 7, 2024,

Thank you for your attendance at the Parent Information Evening. It was wonderful to have you attend; it speaks volumes with regards to the partnership we want to sustain with you. We hope that you found the provided information to be helpful, particularly the documents that were made available.

Over the course of this term we will provide several updates. The topics for this update – Orientation Day, SEDA Application and Trials, Uniform and Chisholm Bus Service.

If you haven't already done so, connect to our Facebook and Instagram accounts, and see what is happening at the College.

We have planned an Orientation Day for Monday, 27th November. This day is specifically for students who will enter Year 7 in 2024. They will participate in a range of experiences that will help familiarise them with how our College operates.  Their Pastoral Leader and Year Level Leader are looking forward to meeting them, as well as their proposed Pastoral Care teacher for 2024. On this day, students are asked to wear their current school uniform and hat.

We ask that you drop your son/daughter at the College at 8:45am and pick them up at 1:30pm.

They will need to bring:

  • a notebook,
  • writing materials,
  • morning tea, lunch and a water bottle.

In Year 7, SEDA can be selected as timetabled elective subject. This class runs for one term and includes a practical and theoretical component for students to develop further skills and knowledge about their selected sport. It is not a requirement for a student enrolled in SEDA to participate in this class. Students will have access to a wide range of sporting opportunities throughout the schooling year.
