Strength and Conditioning


All Football Academy students have access to the schools state of the art gymnasium.  Programs are devised by fully qualified Fitness instructors and tailored to their age, physcial profile and specific sport they participate in.  All football players will follow the FFA Football Conditioning guidelines with football specific fitness testing undertaken periodically throughout the year.
 
"Football incorporates periods of high-intensity efforts (e.g. closing the ball down, getting into the box to convert a cross) interspersed with periods of lower-intensity exercise (jogging, walking, recovery)!  High intensity efforts only account for a small proprotion of the total game time, BUT such periods are instrumental in determining the path of the ball and thus the outcome of the game!"  (Scott Russell)
