The Chisholm Catholic
College Netball Program is designed to give students the opportunity to further
themselves and achieve success, in netball, in their academic pursuits and as
an individual. The Netball program puts a focus on team cohesion and the
importance of working together to achieve a common goal, while making
connections with the wider community to enhance program outcomes.
The Netball program is led
by Ms Stacey Thompson, who has played the sport for over 18 years in various
school, club, district, regional and QLD teams, including three years in the
QLD State League. She has been coaching for seven years, including school, club
and representative teams, achieving premiership wins and being recognised by
Netball QLD for her efforts. Working alongside Ms Thompson is Mr Adam Zemski,
who has represented Victoria, NSW and Queensland at national level and has been
selected in Australian teams for both mixed and men’s Netball. Also working in
the Netball Program is Ms Charlotte Goldsworthy, who has been playing at a
range of levels for 18 years, including representative honours against
international teams, now a successful coach of six years’ experience.
The SEDA Netball teams
participate in a range of competitions, including:
- Pacific District Rivers Championship Days
- Metro & Gold Coast Finals
- Vicki Wilson Cup
- Catholic Cup
- Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball (QISSN)
